Hendricks Conducts Netherlands Clinic

Reining trainer Dell Hendricks,
of Tioga, Texas, traveled to the Netherlands in late February 2003 to
hold two separate clinics on training reining horses.
The training sessions were hosted by Dave and Rieky Young and were held
in Vorstenbosch, The Netherlands, at the Burgmeijer Quarter Horses facility.
Hendricks conducted a two-day private clinic before holding a two-day
open clinic. He explains, "There were 10 riders in each clinic session.
We had a variety of riders, ranging from rookie to professional trainers.
I really think that everyone enjoyed themselves and learned something
from the clinic."
The
popular trainer was thrilled with the reining activity he saw. "It was
really fun to see that reining horses in the Netherlands are hot on our
heels and will be very competitive in the international scope of reining.
Beyond that, it was great to visit The Netherlands – we had great weather
– even though it was a little early for tulips! My wife, Terri, and I
had a wonderful time in Holland and we look forward to visiting again."
